Several years back I tried freshwater fishing with dismal results. I think between my dad and I, we only caught a total of two trouts from Lake s Del Valle, Shadowcliff, Lexington Reservoir, and San Luis Obispo Reservoir in about 10 trips spanning a period of 3 to 4 months. Though we did enjoyed the serenity and relaxation the lake provided us. I would like to think of that as my consolation prize. :)

This time around, I started to get into saltwater fishing about a month ago. The obsession started with trips to SF Municipal Pier to do crab fishing with friends and family. After quitting my previous job and lining up a new one 3 weeks later, I begun my saltwater fishing journeys and trials. I started with Pacifica Pier and caught my first walleye perch back in beginning of November 2007, two days later I tried Berkeley Pier with no luck. After going home from a skunked fishing trip, I read the news and found out that the Cosco Busan had spilled 58,000 gallons worth of toxic bunker fuel into the SF bay. Shortly after that, our governator Arnold Schwarzenegger imposed an emergency ban of all fishing in SF Bay and immediate 3 miles of coast north and south from the bay outlet.

Fast forward a couple of weeks and now the ban has been lifted! Fishing is restored within the SF Bay and coastal piers. Now my adventures resume and I want to chronicle them all the while it will provide a valuable log of all my fishing trips for future references for both readers such as yourself as well as me. Enjoy!

The other portion of this blog is also devoted to my investing adventures. I’m have been a student of Real Estate investing for several years now. I’ve tried my luck with the booming Fresno market in 2004 and came out of it with decent gains. I’ve since been too afraid to jump back into the market due to the over inflated pricings and bubble the market has been all across the country. Since the beginning of this year (2007), the bubble has slowly deflate and is fast approaching the bursting point. I believe, this is a great time to start looking and perhaps jump back into the Real Estate investing arena. This blog will provide a platform to chronicle my analysis and track my progress.

Oh, and I’ll also have occasional posts about the high tech industry, sports, and ohhhh… politics!
